How to measure for a nighty
Use a soft measuring tape over light clothing. Keep the tape level and snug, not tight.

Stand against a wall without shoes. Height decides how long your nighty should be.
How it works: each measurement gives a size from the chart below, and the calculator takes the larger one, because a nighty should never pull. Nighty length is measured from the shoulder to the hem.

Questions
What size nighty should I buy?
Go by your bust and hips, not your usual kurta size. Find each one in the chart and take the larger size: a nighty that is a little loose is comfortable to sleep in, one that pulls across the bust or hips is not.
What is XL size in Pakistan?
On this chart XL is a 38–39 inch bust, 31–32 inch waist and 41–42 inch hips, the same as UK 14, US 10 and EU 42. Pakistani brands differ by an inch or two, so check the product's own measurements when they are given.
What is a free size nighty?
A free size nighty is cut loose to fit a range of sizes. Check the bust measurement given on the product: if yours is larger, pick a nighty that is sold in sizes.
How long should a nighty be?
It depends on your height and the style. Measured from the shoulder, a knee-length nighty is about 54% of your height, a mid-calf nighty about 65% and an ankle-length nighty about 77%. For 5 ft 3 in that is about 34, 41 and 49 inches. The calculator works it out for your height.
I am between two sizes. Which one?
Take the larger one. Nighty dresses are meant to be loose, and cotton and linen can shrink a little in the first wash.
